From the Editor

Back to the Link front page

I hope you are all having restful and productive summers. The issue of ITBE Link you have before you is a transitional one. It’s with some reluctance that I say this is the last issue of ITBE Link for me as an editor. This August I will be leaving Illinois to pursue a PhD in Applied Linguistics and Technology at Iowa State University and thus, will no longer be editor of the newsletter. I have very much enjoyed helping foster growth in our publication and getting to work with the many dedicated contributors who have helped ITBE Link become what it is today. I appreciate the help of the many writers, editors and others who have allowed us to transform our short newsletter into an accessible online resource for TESOL professionals. I leave you in good hands and expect ITBE Link to continue growing and developing and know that the many of you who have made our success possible so far will continue to do so in the future. As you can see already, in the hands of our new editor, the Link has become an even more interactive, truly web-based publication with more multimedia content. Keep that in mind as you send in new submissions. Take advantage of this new platform and consider adding videos and image-based links to your articles. I’m sure we will see a new period of growth as we explore this new platform. I hope you will each help contribute to that growth and be excited by the new things it has to offer.

See our submissions guidelines for details or contact Heather Torrie, the new editor, at news@itbe.org.
